What about Music?

PDFPrintE-mail

The three major catholic liturgical music publishers - GIA, OCP, and World Library Publications - have dedicated portions of their websites to their preparation of new and revised Mass settings for the new translation of the Roman Missal.

Please note:

  • "New Masses" are not actually a new Mass; rather, it is a new musical setting of the Mass which we have not heard before.
  • "Revised Masses" similarly do not reflect a revised Mass, but are revisions to settings of the Mass that we already know, e.g. The Mass of Creation.  These will take familiar tunes and set the new translation to the already-composed music.

Living Eucharist

is a diocesan pastoral initiative begun by the Most Rev. Robert N. Lynch, Bishop of St. Petersburg, to foster a deeper experience and understanding of Eucharist - to paraphrase St. Augustine: "we are called to be what we receive." This catechesis continues with the implementation of the new translation of the Mass.
